How It Works

What training with us looks like

Never worked with a trainer before? Here's exactly what to expect, step by step.

  1. 1

    Book an Evaluation

Everything starts here. Pick a time through our online booking page and tell us a little about your dog.

  2. 2

    Meet Your Trainer

We sit down together, talk through your dog's history, and answer your questions. No pressure, no sales pitch.

  3. 3

Evaluate the Dog, Handler, Environment, and Goals

We sit down with you and your dog. If appropriate, we'll work with your dog a little to get a baseline of where they're currently at. Then we look at the whole picture: temperament and history, your handling, the environment you live in, and what you actually want to accomplish.

  4. 4

    Discuss Packages & Pricing

We'll go over our packages and pricing to see if we're the right trainer for you. Cost varies depending on previous training, specific issues, and the package chosen, but we try to keep training as affordable as possible.

  5. 5

    Develop an Individualized Training Plan

You get a plan built for your dog and your life — the skills to work on, the order to build them in, and the tools and techniques that fit.

  6. 6

    Train Together

Lessons are hands-on for you, not just your dog. You learn the timing, the mechanics, and the reasoning behind every exercise.

  7. 7

    Practice Between Lessons

Short, consistent reps woven through your normal day do more than any single session. We show you how to fit them in.

  8. 8

    Build Reliability in Real-World Situations

We take the training out of the practice space and into the places you actually go, until it holds up when it counts.

What you can count on

No mystery, no guesswork

  • You'll know what we're working on and why, at every stage.
  • You'll be handling your own dog, with coaching.
  • You'll leave each lesson with clear homework you can actually fit into a day.
  • The plan adjusts as your dog progresses — it isn't set in stone.
